Bakers Hole sits among lodgepole pine and willow along the Madison River in the Custer Gallatin National Forest, off Highway 191 about three miles from West Yellowstone, Montana. The map board at the entrance lays the campground out as a string of loops following the river, with numbered sites, vault toilets, water spigots, a fee station and a campground host. Sites are gravel pads set off paved and gravel interior roads, most with a picnic table and a metal fire ring, and some with a metal storage box. Tree cover varies from pad to pad: several sit close under the pines, while others open onto grassy clearings and low brush with the trees set back. The photos show both travel trailers and full-size motorhomes parked on the pads. The campground has 39 standard nonelectric sites and 34 RV sites with electric hookups.
