New listing
Beaver View Campground is located about 34 miles south of Evanston, Wyoming, just off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway at an elevation of 8,960 feet. The byway cuts through the Uinta Mountains, which are known for their abundant recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. The campground offers 17 single campsites and 1 group day use site. Each site is equipped with a campfire ring and picnic table, and vault toilets are provided. It sits alongside the Hayden Fork River, and there are a number of small beaver ponds around the campground. A thin forest of pine and aspen trees provides only limited shade, and summer wildflowers and grasses dot the landscape. Recreation opportunities are nearby for fishing, hiking, backpacking, and ATV trail riding, and access to High Uinta Wilderness hiking trails is close at hand. The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway parallels the Lower Provo River as it snakes across a portion of the Uinta Mountains, leading to numerous high alpine lakes and streams, countless trails, breathtaking scenic viewpoints and various campgrounds, with fishing, canoeing, hiking, backpacking, horseback riding and biking all popular along the way.
