Bottle Creek Campground lies at an elevation of 8,800 feet within the Medicine Bow National Forest. The campground offers 16 small campsites (trailers less than 16 feet), picnic tables, toilets, fire grates and potable water. Trash service is not provided. The area's year-round recreation opportunities offer something for every adventurer and outdoor lover. Popular activities include day hiking at Green Mountain Falls and along the Encampment River, fishing the Encampment and North Fork Encampment rivers, where brook, brown and rainbow trout can be found, road cycling, big game hunting, OHV road riding, wildlife watching and visiting the Continental Divide. Wildlife is common, so plan to keep a clean camp. The town of Encampment is just a ten-minute drive away; there are restaurants, gas, and a small store.
