New listing
Chickasaw Hill is a quiet, family-oriented campground situated along the banks of Enid Lake in the forests of northern Mississippi. Enid Lake has been recognized as one of America's Top 10 Fishing Spots, with white crappie, bass and catfish in abundance. It is home of the world record white crappie, an impressive 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and fishing tournaments are held annually. Trails wind along the lakeshore and through the surrounding landscape for hiking, biking and horseback riding, and boat ramps are provided at the campground. Chickasaw Hill offers 53 campsites with modern amenities like full hookups and flush toilets. A playground and interpretive trail offer additional recreation, and picnic areas and shelters with grills and tables make the area perfect for parties or family trips. Enid Lake is part of a dam project on the Yocona River, creating almost 16,000 acres of water, with an additional 44,000 acres of thick, green forest surrounding it. Memphis, Tennessee is about an hour away.
