Located in northern Idaho's beautiful Clearwater Valley, Dent Acres Campground on Dworshak Lake is surrounded by forests and abundant wildlife. Dworshak Lake is 54 miles long and hosts kokanee salmon, rainbow trout and smallmouth bass fishing, with excellent boating, water skiing and hunting opportunities. Dent Acres is an excellent location for boaters, fishermen, hunters, hikers and wildlife watching, as well as quiet relaxation. There is a boat ramp for access to the reservoir, multiple trails for hiking, and thousands of surrounding acres of public lands for the hunter. The campground features 49 pull-through camping sites and one back-in only site, and can accommodate everything from tent camping to large RVs. All sites have water and 50/30 amp electricity hookups as well as sewage hookups, a fire pit and a covered picnic table. There are flush toilets and a shower house, and adjacent to the campground is a playground and plenty of open space for activities. Flush toilet restrooms and a fish cleaning station are located near the boat ramp, several large trash dumpsters sit near the boat dock, and a large reservable sun shelter can accommodate up to 75 people. Pets are required to be under their owner's physical control and on a 6-foot leash at all times, and quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. Dworshak Reservoir is surrounded by steep forested, mountainous country, with numerous small creeks feeding it. Dent Bridge, which spans Dworshak Reservoir approximately one mile east of Dent Acres, is the largest cable suspension bridge in the state of Idaho. Also nearby are Dworshak Dam and Visitor Center, Dworshak Hatchery, Clearwater National Forest, the Clearwater Historical Society and Museum, the Weippe Discovery Center, Canoe Camp, and the Nez Perce National Park site at Spalding.
