New listing

East Branch Campground is located at East Branch Lake in northeastern Elk County, Pennsylvania, in the High Plateau Section of the state. The lake offers an excellent freshwater fishery as well as other recreational opportunities, from hiking to boating and picnicking, and campers have access to shopping, restaurants, and other natural resource attractions nearby. East Branch is known for being a high-quality fishery. The predominant species are smallmouth and largemouth bass, lake trout, musky, walleye, and a variety of panfish. The outflow area below the dam is known for its year-round cool to cold waters and is managed as a delayed harvest trout fishing area; it is also a popular destination for canoers and kayakers. For a tranquil experience, visit the overlook and picnic area located across from the campground. There is one camping loop at East Branch Lake with four cabins available. The camping loop has a restroom with showers. Campsites and cabins have fire rings, picnic tables, and a lantern hanger. All four cabins have electric and most of the campsites offer electric hookup unless otherwise stated. Be cautious of overhead power lines on the ingress and egress camp roadway. The lakeshore is lined with aspen saplings that provide excellent cover for fish, and East Branch is known for its clear and exceptional water quality. Campers and visitors can visit Elk State Park, Bendigo State Park, or the Allegheny National Forest, and the nearby cities of St. Marys and Kane offer a good variety of restaurants, microbreweries, wineries, shopping, and other activities.
