Hanna Campground provides a serene hideaway, tucked just a few miles off Spearfish Canyon. Perfectly situated near many local attractions, this campground offers quick access to premier fly-fishing, scenic hiking trails and the breathtaking views of Spearfish Canyon. The campground offers a mixture of pull-in sites, ideal for RVs, and walk-in only tent sites. Nestled between a mountain stream and the rugged cliffs that tower above, Hanna Campground provides a stunning basecamp for your next adventure. The Hanna Nature Trail is an approximately 1 mile loop trail that originates right from the campground. The trail meanders across two small streams as it climbs the steep and rugged cliffs that rise above the campground, eventually winding its way up to spectacular vistas of the surrounding peaks and valleys below. The entrance to Spearfish Canyon at Cheyenne Crossing is just 2.5 miles away. Spearfish Canyon offers a spectacular variety of recreation options including hiking, climbing, fishing and nature viewing. Fall colors in the canyon make the hillsides glow in yellow and gold, while the cool bubbling waters of Spearfish Creek offer a mini-escape from the bustle of everyday life. Check out Roughlock Falls, Spearfish Falls and Bridal Veil Falls in the canyon as you take in the breathtaking scenery. The Stageyard ATV/OHV Trailhead is situated approximately 4.5 miles south of Hanna Campground and is the gateway to six motorized trails, designed for OHVs 62 inches or less in width. The Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway and the attractions of Deadwood and Lead, South Dakota are also nearby.
