Positioned nicely near Coast Guard Beach and Head of the Meadow Beach in Truro, this home is a recently renovated two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit that sleeps four and is part of a three-unit triplex. Coast Guard Beach, consistently rated as a top family beach, is a quick five minute walk from the property, which also offers direct access to several beautiful bike and walking trails. The unit is well equipped: two large queen-size beds with two pillows and a top blanket each, a table top fan in each bedroom and the living room area, an in-unit washer and dryer, a microwave, a four-burner electric stove and oven range, a coffeemaker and toaster, pots and pans, eating utensils, plates, cups and glasses, dish towels and potholders, a flat-screen TV, and a propane BBQ grill with one tank of propane gas. A full mirror hangs on the back of each bathroom door, useful for tick checks, and there is access to an outdoor storage shed for bicycles, kayaks, fishing gear and the like. Trash and recycling bins for each unit are located behind the shed, and the park can be contacted for additional trash removal as needed. Things to know before you go: there is no outdoor shower at this location and no dishwasher in the unit. Each unit is allowed two parking spaces only, and this is strictly enforced. Towels and sheets are not provided, so guests should plan to bring their own bath towels, beach towels and bed sheets. There are no cable or internet services provided, and guests must provide their own USB cable to connect the television to their computer or smart devices. Cell phone reception can be very weak at this location; a land line is available to guests for local and emergency calls only. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited, including the interior of the property and the grounds, and pets are strictly prohibited with no exceptions. Five gallon water jugs are provided in each unit for consumption — the tap water is safe for cooking, bathing and cleaning but should not be used as a drinking water source. Ticks and mosquitos are a natural part of the environment at the seashore, so please plan accordingly. The Highland Suites offer visitors nearby access to Cape Cod's quiet beaches and tidal flats. Explore beyond the beach and you will find the seashore is so much more. Provincetown historic village is just a short drive away, with book stores, galleries and restaurants waiting for you. There are miles of walking and biking trails through pine forests, across sandy dunes and alongside freshwater ponds, and you can climb to the top of one of the many lighthouses and experience a piece of maritime history. For the wildlife lover, there are opportunities to spot over 450 species of amphibians, reptiles, fish, birds and mammals that make the seashore their home. The great Outer Beach, described by Thoreau in the 1800s, is protected within Cape Cod National Seashore: forty miles of pristine sandy beach, marshes, ponds and uplands support diverse species, and lighthouses, cultural landscapes and wild cranberry bogs offer a glimpse of Cape Cod's past and continuing ways of life. Beyond the shore, the Cape is also a cultural destination with hundreds of arts and cultural venues from the canal to the tip of the cape, including over 25 local theaters, along with paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, surfing, and whale and seal watching.
