New listing
Hoop Lake Campground is located 35 miles south of Mountain View, WY at an elevation of 9,000 feet, in the Uinta Mountains on the shores of its beautiful mountain lake namesake. Campers are drawn to the area to boat and fish in the lake and to hike or horseback ride on the many trails. This is a remote campground with 44 single campsites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilet facilities are available. The campground is timbered and has great views of the lake with access for fishing and boating. There is plenty of sightseeing and wildlife watching for the numerous birds, elk, deer, moose and beaver who frequent the area. This off-the-beaten-path area is a kind of recreationist's paradise, with boating and fishing in Hoop Lake, more fishing in nearby Beaver Meadow Reservoir, and trails galore. There is easy access to the Hoop Lake trailhead and to the High Uintas Wilderness.
