Lakeview Campground (AZ)

Hosted by USDA Forest Service

New listing

Lakeview Campground is a tent camper's paradise, with terraced hillside campsites tucked in amongst old ponderosa pines. With all the easy forest and lake access, this is also a great place for wildlife watchers: many visitors report seeing bald eagle, osprey, migratory waterfowl, great blue heron, elk and mule deer. It is ideal for hiking, bird watching, fishing and wildlife watching. The campground has 30 campsites, each with a picnic table, fire ring and cooking grill. It provides drinking water, accessible vault-type toilets and a boat ramp for universal access fishing at the Lake Mary picnic area. The Wood memorial trail links Lakeview campground with the Lake Mary picnic area. Trash service is provided for campers only, and a camp host lives on site. Lakeview is pet friendly; pets must always be restrained or on a leash. The setting is a woodland environment with gravel roads and gentle hillsides, and glimpses of beautiful Lake Mary can be enjoyed through the abundant pine. Lake Mary provides many water activities for kayakers and boaters and is very popular for paddle boarding, and its picnic area is a comfortable and beautiful spot to enjoy the lake.
