Pine Lake Campground (Hiles, WI)

Hosted by USDA Forest Service

New listing

Pine Lake Campground sits on the western shore of Pine Lake, between the towns of Crandon and Three Lakes. With fewer sites comes less people, but all the same amenities as other National Forest campgrounds, and the campground makes an excellent central location for the sights and fishing on area lakes. Pine Lake Campground has 12 campsites which can accommodate trailers 40 feet in length, with most sites being able to accommodate trailers 45 feet and over. Drinking water, vault toilets, garbage disposal, a boat landing, and a picnic area are also provided. Pine Lake is a favorite of anglers who target northern pike, bass, walleye, and panfish, all found in the 1,667-acre lake. The campground boasts a full boat landing with two courtesy docks allowing for easy unloading and loading of your fishing or pleasure boat. Sitting among towering hemlock trees, Pine Lake Campground offers an excellent setting for relaxation or for planning your day on the water. The Argonne Experimental Forest and Interpretive Trail are located northeast of the campground off of STH 32, with the Headwaters Wilderness "Giant Pine Trail" located slightly further north. The towns of Three Lakes and Crandon are a short drive and offer many amenities.
