Stennis East Bank Day Use (Columbus Lake)

Hosted by US Army Corps of Engineers

New listing

Stennis East Bank Day Use is situated in Columbus, Mississippi on Columbus Lake along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. The area features one shelter at the boat ramp and three shelters inside the park that can be rented, and it typically is open every day of the year. It is wonderful for family gatherings, enjoying the lock and dam, and hanging out with friends. Each shelter provides water, electricity, and picnic tables for your use. A park host is available at most of the shelters. The area has views of the lock and dam, is a good place to see migratory birds, and is a good place to watch people catch large catfish from the piers. A vehicle overlook provides a beautiful view of the sunset in the afternoon. The waterway offers hunting, fishing, boating and swimming more widely. Fishing is a yearlong event, from the shoreline or in the many tournaments held throughout the year, and hunting can be found on Corps of Engineers land in Mississippi and Alabama as well as state managed wildlife management areas. Swimming can be enjoyed from your boat or at a designated beach along the waterway.
