Tullahasse Loop

Tullahasse Loop is located upstream of Chouteau Lock and Dam 17 on the McClellan-Kerr Navigation System, approximately 9 miles southwest of Wagoner, Oklahoma. Visitors can enjoy camping, picnicking, fishing, boating, kayaking or simply enjoying the scenic beauty the area has to offer. This year-around campground offers 15 primitive campsites, perfect for those who enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Amenities are available throughout the year and include a vault toilet, access to potable water, a playground, a boat ramp and a courtesy dock. Tullahasse Loop is located off the main river channel on an oxbow and provides excellent access to the backwaters for fishermen, boaters and kayakers. The campground is surrounded by mixed hardwood forest and the majority of the campsites are shaded. The Chouteau Lock and Dam 17 project was primarily constructed for the improvement of the Arkansas River and its tributaries for commercial barge traffic; however, it also offers recreation and resource opportunities. The area lies just south of the city of Wagoner and north of the city of Muskogee, within driving distance of several local dining and shopping facilities, and within a 10-minute drive of Fort Gibson Lake and several other campgrounds and state parks.
