White Creek Campground

Hosted by USDA Forest Service

New listing

Campers can enjoy a sandy beach on Little River with shallow water, and the sounds of the Little River from one of the four campsites at White Creek Campground. Three of the four campsites are walk-in only. There is a scenic cliff with various kinds of vegetation located a quarter-mile downstream on the Overhang Trail (1509). Hiking and swimming are the main activities. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, a vault toilet serves the campground, and it is open year-round, first come, first serve. Seasonal ATV/OHV trails, Grotto Falls Trail (1503), Shadow Falls Trail (1504) and Hemlock Lake are nearby. The Umpqua National Forest covers 983,239 acres of southwestern Oregon, where hemlock, fir and cedar give way to mixed conifers and hardwoods at lower elevations and alpine ecosystems hold the high peaks. The word Umpqua means thundering waters.
