New experience

A permit for hiking Angels Landing in Zion National Park, covering hikes from June 1 through August 31, on a route administered by the National Park Service. The photographs show the sandstone fin the trail climbs, a tall red and cream rock face rising straight out of the canyon floor, with the river and its band of green trees below it. From high on the route the view runs down the canyon over a series of tight switchbacks cut into the slope. The last stretch is a narrow rock spine. One image shows hikers moving along it with a fixed chain bolted into the sandstone beside them and sheer wall dropping away to one side.
