New experience

Black Creek Lake, in the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, managed by the USDA Forest Service. The photograph shows the day-use area on the lakeshore: a broad gravel turnaround and parking loop edged with short black bollards, running down to a strip of sand and gravel at the water's edge. A grill and a low sign stand on the grass to one side, a bare hardwood leans over the far corner of the lot, and the opposite shore is an unbroken line of pines across open water under a clear sky.
