Bridgeport Beach

Bridgeport Beach is a day use area on the Alabama River Lakes, managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. A paved path curves through mown grass toward the shoreline, passing playground equipment, a swing set, and a picnic table set on the lawn. Large trees hung with Spanish moss shade the path and the grass around it, and the lawn gives way to a strip of sand at the water. Across the open water the far shore is a continuous wooded bank.
