Chain of Lakes Recreation Site - White Sandy

White Sandy is a Bureau of Land Management site in the Chain of Lakes area, its entrance marked by a dark blue sign on posts naming the Western Montana District and the Butte Field Office. The ground around the sign is dry and open: a low hillside of pale tan grasses and grey-green sagebrush, with a large juniper beside the sign and a scattering of bare shrubs across the slope. There is no closed tree cover.
