Chilatchee Creek Park is on the Alabama River Lakes, managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The photo looks down a wide concrete launch ramp that runs from a gravel and asphalt approach straight into calm open water. Pines and bare-limbed hardwoods close in on both sides of the ramp, a small dock sits at its edge, and the far shore is a low, unbroken tree line.
