East Bank Beach

East Bank Beach is on the Alabama River Lakes, managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. A paved lot with concrete wheel stops opens onto a flat mown lawn that runs to the water. A play structure with two slides and a climbing deck stands on a sand pad beside a metal swing set, and a covered dock and a long low bridge are visible across the wide, calm river. The ground here is open and unshaded, with a low tree line on the far bank.
