New experience

East Lake Crockett is a day-use site in the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, managed by the USDA Forest Service. The photo looks out over the lake from a mown grass bank. A metal gangway with handrails crosses the reedy shallows to a floating dock that extends into open water. A timber-framed information kiosk with a posted map stands on the bank, and a concrete pad nearby holds green metal posts and a receptacle. Reeds and grasses line the shore, and a continuous band of trees rings the far side of the lake.
