Gila National Forest Christmas Tree Permit

The Gila National Forest in New Mexico is managed by the USDA Forest Service. Its Christmas tree cutting happens in open pine woodland — hillsides of cured tan grass under widely spaced ponderosa pines, and rockier ground carrying stands of shorter, denser junipers and young conifers.
