Glacier National Park Vehicle Reservations

Glacier National Park limits vehicle access to two areas of the park from May 27 through September 11: the Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor and the North Fork. The Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor covers all points inside the West Entrance Station, Camas Entrance Station, and the Rising Sun checkpoint, 6 miles west of the St. Mary Entrance. The full length of Going-to-the-Sun Road typically opens for the season in late June. Access to the corridor is managed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and entry does not guarantee a parking space in popular areas. The North Fork area is entered through the Polebridge Entrance Station, where access is managed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and a parking space in popular areas is likewise not guaranteed. The North Fork is a primitive area of the park, with no cell service and rough, unimproved roads. To avoid vehicle breakdowns in a remote area without cell service, only vehicles with high clearance and 12-ply rated tires or higher should visit.
