Guided Tours for Education Groups
Hosted by National Park Service
New experience
The Educational Tour for School Groups is roughly 90 minutes in total. During the program, the ranger presents on the history of slavery during the Dutch and British periods, and on the history of the African Burial Ground and its re-discovery in 1991. Included in the program is a site introduction film approximately 20 minutes in length. Participants will be encouraged to engage in the program, ask questions, share thoughts and comments. The guided tour also includes a 30-minute Guided Outdoor Memorial Tour in the spring and summer, or a Guided Art Tour in the fall and winter.
