New experience

The Kīlauea Point National Wildlife Refuge offers a self-guided tour that includes an opportunity to see and photograph scenic coastal vistas and views of native Hawaiian seabirds. Interpretive signage and displays offer information on the wildlife, native plants that provide habitat, geology, and much more. Volunteer docents are also available to answer questions and provide additional information. A Nature Store managed by the refuge's Friends group provides shopping opportunities, and proceeds generated from sales go to support the refuge in its mission.
