Lucky Peak Dam Group Tour

A group tour of Lucky Peak Dam in Idaho, among the Lucky Peak Lake tours and programs. Seen from above at sunset, the long dark face of the earthen embankment carries the lettering KEEP YOUR FORESTS GREEN, with a road cut along the dry ridge above it and hills layered behind. Below the dam is a green riverside park — mown lawn and shade trees, looped roads and parking bays, a pond with a sandy shore and a fountain, small picnic shelters, and a lit powerhouse building where the river runs out past the dam.
