Payne Lake Recreation Area - Day Use

Day use at Payne Lake Recreation Area, in the National Forests in Alabama, managed by the USDA Forest Service. The lake is broad and still, holding the reflection of a tall cumulus sky, with a low wooded shoreline running around it. A large pine leans out over the water from the near bank, its limbs shading a strip of grass and bare ground at the edge.
