New experience

A wide concrete apron runs down to the water at Raleigh Ryan Boat Ramp, ending in a launch lane that slides into a tree-lined arm of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. A low dock runs out from the left side of the ramp along the bank. Mown grass borders the pavement, with a posted information board and a trash barrel at the top of the ramp. Hardwoods crowd the opposite point and the far bank, and open water shows off to the left past the trees. The site is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
