Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area - Day Use
Hosted by USDA Forest Service
New experience
Day use at Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area, part of the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas and managed by the USDA Forest Service. A shingle-roofed wooden kiosk stands at a trail entrance, its panel carrying a map and interpretive text for the 4C National Recreation Trail and the Trail Tamers Trail, with Forest Service shields fixed to the posts below. Beyond it a bare-earth footpath runs straight into open woods of pine and leafless hardwoods, over a floor of brown needles and fallen leaves. A second, smaller signboard and a post marked with a hiker symbol stand beside the path.
