Salt Springs Marina Launch

New experience
Salt Springs Marina Launch is a boat ramp on a broad, clear waterway in the National Forests in Florida. A wide concrete ramp drops straight into the water between metal gangway docks, with cabbage palms and moss-draped live oaks along the bank and a small white frame building with a covered porch standing at the top of the ramp. Seen from above, the water off the launch is shallow and pale over a light bottom, edged with sand and marked by a line of floats. Boats, kayaks and personal watercraft pull up along the shore, and the grass and paved apron behind the ramp hold parking for vehicles and trailers. Away from the ramp the water widens into flat open surface bordered by tall grass and low green woodland, with room for paddling. A restroom building sits in a sand-and-gravel lot under mossy oaks and palms, and a paved path leads off through the trees. The site is managed by the USDA Forest Service.
