Sharkey Hot Springs
Hosted by Bureau of Land Management
New experience
Sharkey Hot Springs sits in a sagebrush draw near Tendoy, Idaho, on Bureau of Land Management ground in the Salmon Field Office. Two soaking pools are set into a concrete deck and enclosed by a wooden fence. Each has steps and a metal handrail leading down into the water, and a bench and posted signs stand along the deck. One photo shows snow lying over the deck and the hillsides around it. The rest of the site is laid out on gravel: a parking area off a dirt road, two small wooden outbuildings, picnic tables, benches and a fire ring linked by concrete paths, and an information kiosk. Sagebrush hills rise on either side, with higher snow-dusted peaks up the valley beyond.
