Shell Creek Park

Shell Creek Park is on the Alabama River Lakes, managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The photo looks across a gravel apron and a concrete ramp that runs into a wide, calm stretch of water. Tall pines hung with Spanish moss frame the view on both sides and throw shade over the approach, with mown grass, a trash barrel and a small marker post at the edge of the pavement. A long low bridge crosses the water in the distance, and the opposite bank is flat and wooded.
