New experience

As you hike to Spring House, you will be rewarded with views of alcove sites in Navajo and Wickiup Canyons. Spring House is the largest unexcavated cliff dwelling in the park, with 86 rooms and seven kivas. This site is extremely fragile. You will not enter the site, but will get excellent views of the cliff dwelling from a platform built at the south end of the village. This tour is available from Sunday, May 1st, 2016 to Wednesday, May 25, 2016 and from Sunday, September 11th, 2016 to Wednesday, October 12th, 2016, on Sundays and Wednesdays. Hikers depart for Spring House at 8:00 am from the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum; meet the ranger at least 15 minutes in advance. Drive time to the museum from the park entrance is approximately 45 minutes.
