New experience

The Left Fork of North Creek in Zion National Park is a canyoneering route. One section is a tunnel-shaped chamber where curved sandstone walls arch overhead and meet a floor of shallow stepped pools and green-tinted water. Other photographs along the route show the creek running fast and silty over cobbles between cottonwoods and pines, with slabs of red rock along the bank and a banded cliff line standing above the canyon, and roped descents past wedged boulders and down grey water-polished slickrock to a sand bar beside a deep pool. Zion National Park is managed by the National Park Service.
